{"id":88,"date":"2006-07-05T02:12:49","date_gmt":"2006-07-05T06:12:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lashistorias.com.mx\/blog\/?p=102"},"modified":"2016-10-26T10:24:54","modified_gmt":"2016-10-26T15:24:54","slug":"taller-literario-visto-y-no-visto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lashistorias.com.mx\/index.php\/taller-literario-visto-y-no-visto\/","title":{"rendered":"Taller literario: visto y no visto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La que sigue es la traducci\u00f3n del texto (no va cantado) de \u00abSeen and not seen\u00bb, una pieza del disco <em>Remain in Light<\/em> (1980) de Talking Heads:<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00c9l ve\u00eda caras en las pel\u00edculas, en la tele, en revistas y en libros&#8230; Pensaba que algunas de esas caras podr\u00edan ser perfectas para \u00e9l&#8230; y que con los a\u00f1os, manteniendo la estructura facial ideal fija en su mente&#8230; o en alg\u00fan sitio en el fondo de su mente&#8230; podr\u00eda, mediante fuerza de voluntad, conseguir que su cara se aproximase a aquellas de su ideal&#8230; El cambio ser\u00eda muy sutil&#8230; podr\u00eda tomar diez a\u00f1os o algo as\u00ed&#8230; Gradualmente su cara cambiar\u00eda de forma&#8230; Una nariz m\u00e1s ganchuda&#8230; Labios m\u00e1s anchos y delgados&#8230; Ojos saltones&#8230; Una frente m\u00e1s amplia.<\/p>\n<p>Se imagin\u00f3 que \u00e9sta era una habilidad que compart\u00eda con la mayor\u00eda de las personas&#8230; tambi\u00e9n ellos moldeaban sus caras de acuerdo con alg\u00fan ideal&#8230; Tal vez imaginaban que su nueva cara se adecuar\u00eda mejor a su personalidad&#8230; o tal vez imaginaban que su personalidad ser\u00eda forzada a cambiar para adecuarse a su nueva apariencia&#8230; por esta raz\u00f3n las primeras impresiones frecuentemente son correctas&#8230; Aunque algunas personas podr\u00edan haberse equivocado&#8230; Podr\u00edan haber llegado a una apariencia que no tuviera relaci\u00f3n alguna con ellos&#8230; Podr\u00edan haber elegido una apariencia ideal a partir de un capricho infantil, o un impulso moment\u00e1neo&#8230; Algunos podr\u00edan haberse quedado a la mitad, y luego haber cambiado de opini\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9l se pregunta si podr\u00eda haber cometido un error semejante.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>El ejercicio es tomar el texto, en prosa pero a medio camino entre la poes\u00eda y el cuento, y considerarlo el punto de partida de una historia. La pregunta fundamental es, creo, la siguiente: \u00bfqui\u00e9n es \u00e9l, y qu\u00e9 se responde al preguntarse si cometi\u00f3 alg\u00fan error al querer cambiar de rostro?<br \/>\n&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Por si les interesa, he aqu\u00ed el texto en ingl\u00e9s (no garantizo que la puntuaci\u00f3n sea la correcta):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He would see faces in movies, on T.V., in magazines, and in books&#8230;. He thought that some of these faces might be right for him&#8230;.And through the years, by keeping an ideal facial structure fixed in his mind&#8230;.Or somewhere in the back of his mind&#8230;.That he might, by force of will, cause his face to approach those of his ideal&#8230;.The change would be very subtle&#8230;.It might take ten years or so&#8230;. Gradually his face would change its&#8217; shape&#8230;.A more hooked nose&#8230; Wider, thinner lips&#8230;.Beady eyes&#8230;.A larger forehead.<\/p>\n<p>He imagined that this was an ability he shared with most other people&#8230;.They had also molded their faced according to some ideal&#8230;.Maybe they imagined that their new face would better suit their personality&#8230;.Or maybe they imagined that their personality would be forced to change to fit the new appearance&#8230;.This is why first impressions are often correct&#8230; Although some people might have made mistakes&#8230;.They may have arrived at an appearance that bears no relationship to them&#8230;.
